This course is located in the Venetian countryside a little way off Treviso road on one of those country estates where the wealthier Venetians used to spend their summer. Still here are some superb gardens and the 16th century Villa Grimani Morosini, now restored but not used as a clubhouse. This arnold Palmer layout is the only course to utilize the typical features of Italy, obviously meaning omnipresent water - we are close to Venice after all - in the shape of canals and little lakes. This is very much the case on the 14th hole, where the fairway and green are virtually islands on their own. Palmer excavated a lot of earth to build this very intelligent course, which is fun to play with friends and where the difficulties are more apparent than real, except for a number of very large sand-traps that your average hacker dislikes intensely. This very good layout deserves immaculate green-keeping... so watch this space.
