Nestled in the heart of Lombardy's renowned wine region, Franciacorta Golf Club offers a captivating golfing experience across its 27 holes, thoughtfully designed by Pete Dye and Marco Croze. The club features three distinct 9-hole courses—Brut, Satèn, and Rosè—each weaving through 80 hectares of rolling hills, vineyards, and a picturesque 50,000-square-meter lake. The Brut course challenges players with its strategic layout, including the notable uphill Par 5 sixth hole, aptly named "The Wall Hole". Satèn presents a diverse array of holes, highlighted by the second hole's island green and the panoramic fifth hole offering breathtaking views over the hills and Lake Iseo. The Rosè course, added in 2009, complements the trio with its modern design and undulating fairways.
Beyond the fairways, the club boasts a spacious clubhouse, complete with a bar, restaurant, and pro shop, alongside amenities like swimming pools and tennis courts. Golfers can also indulge in the region's famed sparkling wines, with the club's courses aptly named after local varietals. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, Franciacorta Golf Club provides an unforgettable experience in one of Italy's most picturesque settings. The Golf of Franciacorta is situated close to Lake Iseo . This is not the most famous of the Italian "Great Lakes", but the wild scenary here is well worth seeing, as is the Monte Isola, located in the middle of the lake and offering superb views over the Alps. Along with the Domaine Impérial in Switzerland, this course is one of the rare examples in Europe of the often controversial style (but always true to the spirit of golf) of American designer Pete Dye, who here worked together with Marco Croze, one of the more prolific Italian course architects. The course is laid out on slightly hilly but never tiring terrain. The style is blatantly American, with water on almost half the holes and two island greens, so you can forget the bump and run shots. Despite this, average players can have a lot of fun, as all the difficulties are clear to see and game strategy is obvious.
