The Frassanelle Golf Club is in line with the most classic golf tradition; that is to say there are no horses, tennis courts or swimming pools associated with it. It is the only course in Italy with a computerized automatic irrigation system on a par with the big courses in the United States. This means 600 irrigators, 20 km. of pipe, 100 km. of cable and specialized staff to look after it all, a monitoring station in the secretary's office and a giant screen in the club house. The club house facilities are excellent too: changing rooms with individual lockers, sauna , massage, pro-shop, a bar in the male changing room and a restaurant with a small reserved room for business lunches. All this is contained in a carefully restored 17th-century rustic building. As regards the landscape, the final result is very convincing: everything seems to have been there for centuries; the sensitivity of skilful operators has ensured that every hill, every hollow, is perfectly inserted in the course which today, now that the work is complete, appears to be one with the park, without any sense of interruption or interference.
