Founded in 2012, the I Monasteri Golf Club is an integral part of the prestigious 5-star I Monasteri Golf Resort, in Syracuse. The 18-hole par 71 golf course is spread over an area of 6520 meters inside a plantation of orange trees, lemons and Indian figs, and was designed by the architects David Mezzacane - president of the Italian Association of Golf Course Architects - and Vincenzo Mazzacane. A Mediterranean paradise where you can practice this sport and relax your mind by getting lost in the green expanses.
The course is a par 71 with five tees per hole. The location of the club-house and the resort facilitates alternate between the first and second nine holes, immersed in a wonderful and changing nature, characteristic of this Mediterranean destination, including orange, mandarin, lemon, almond, prickly pears. The 6th hole is a par 4 and has been designed inside a cultivation of prickly pears, while special white limestone hills surround the path at holes 2, 3 and 4. The holes do not appear as artificial interruptions of the citrus groves but, on the contrary, they look like natural clearings that follow the path of the walls, rocks, stones and prickly pears.
