Conceived by the Californian architect Ronald Fream of the internationally renowned Golfplan Studio, the 18-holes golf course has been designed with total respect for the environment.
The course consists of various gentle slopes and some undulated fairways. Its three streams, the large water hazards at holes 1, 2, 3, 9 and 18, the bunkers of siliceous sand and the greens surrounded by gradual slopes not only offer technical challenges but also provide a striking scenic backdrop.
The realization of such an impressive course has respected strict regulations governing the protection of local nature with the aim of earning the Golf Federation’s ecological certification. Deer, porcupines, hares, tortoise, pheasants, various local species of dove, wild boars and countless other Maremman birds visible in the early hours of the morning.
