Villa Carolina: Timeless Elegance and Championship Golf

Amid the rolling green hills of Monferrato, a gate opens onto a picturesque avenue shaded by ancient horse chestnuts, leading to Villa Carolina. Situated within a centuries-old park between Capriata d’Orba and Castelletto d’Orba, the villa has kept its romantic charm and natural beauty for over 200 years. Originally a wedding gift for Carolina, noblewoman of the Albrizzi family, it has been a treasured country estate since the 19th century.

Founded in 1991, Villa Carolina Golf Club features two 18-hole championship courses. The "La Marchesa" course, designed by Cornish & Silva Inc. Golfcourse Architects from the USA, winds through scenic forests and along the Albedosa stream. This par-72 course stretches 6,161 meters and offers open fairways, with holes 10, 11, and 12 famously challenging golfers at its “Amen Corner.”

The "Paradiso" course, crafted by architect Graham Cooke, is technically demanding, with undulating terrain and intricate greens. Opened in phases between 2006 and 2014, Paradiso hosted the 40th PGAI Championship and the XIV Vialli and Mauro Golf Cup, supporting ALS research. Despite severe floods in 2014, the dedication of President Giorgio Tacchino and club members brought all 36 holes back, better than ever by 2015.

A luxurious 53-room resort nestled alongside the Paradiso course offers modern comfort in a serene setting.
